Service Design Thinks 2 - Service Design at Scale

The Sense Loft
4th Floor
68/70 Wardour Street
London W1F 0TB
United Kingdom

The second Service Design Thinks event will focus on the idea of ‘service design at scale’. We’ve got three really interesting speakers representing very different approaches to service design practice who’ll be sharing their experiences of designing for, and working at, large scale in services. They (and their talks) are:

  • Steven Baker - 0 - 2 million customers in one year: Designing a mobile banking service for 21st century Africa.
  • Julia Schaeper - Building design capability in the NHS: Design-led service innovation in the worlds 3rd largest organisation.
  • James Gardner - Engaging everyone in innovation: Building a market for service innovation in one of the UK’s largest banking groups.

They’ll be presenting inspiring stories and projects that focus on large scale service designs or design in large scale service organisations. They’ll be answering questions like:

  • How do you plan for scale in your service design?
  • How to you cope with rapid scaling of your service design if you didn’t plan for it?
  • How do you innovate at scale across large service organisations?
  • What’s different about designing for scale?

Register for tickets and find out more about the event on the Eventbrite page (tickets available from 12 noon on the 19th of October). Hope to see you there!
