Service Design Thinks 05 | Leeds | Design meets World

With the profusion of digital user interfaces reaching deeper into everyday life, the joined-up view of end-to-end service design, including non-digital touchpoints, is more valuable now than ever before. How are users moving between web and mobile, and how can designers create smooth transitions across the two? How does the infrastructure of the city enhance and constrain the services to which its people have access? And how can users and stakeholders be engaged in the creation of services across such a broad canvas?

Service Design Thinks is free and open to everyone. This is a great chance to learn, debate and gather together afterwards at the pub to explore thoughts further.

Service design in theory and practice
We’re fortunate to have three great presenters for our next Service Design Thinks Leeds on Tuesday 25 October.
In part 1, we have perspectives on service design in health from Jane Wood and Daniela Sangiorgi. In part 2, Rory Hamilton will show how you can prototype experiences easily and effectively. This event is open to everyone working in the design of services whether it be corporate/public/education/health/social sectors. This is a great chance to learn from three experienced service designers and gather together afterwards at the pub to explore thoughts further.

Service Design Thinks Leeds | 02

In our first Service Design Thinks Leeds, we asked about the starting points for service design - the voices and insights that help us create new services and improve ones already in delivery.

This time we’ll move onto the next stage, to delve more deeply into how services are designed. How we do it… techniques in the context of live projects.
